1 yI’m optimistic about the future.
America is beautiful, wonderful, and joyful. I’ve been brought up here and I love it. I’m sure it will be just fine.
I am hopeful we’ll keep the American Dream in good spirits if & when Kamala Harris is sworn in as the next President of The United States of America.
I don’t know what 6 years will bring, but it will be a great future. I’m sure of it!

" America is beautiful, wonderful, and joyful. I’ve been brought up here and I love it. I’m sure it will be just fine." I'm afraid you live a bubble. Just curious, where do you live?
If you think America "will be fine" if Trump gets in, you REALLY live in a bubble. It will trigger the end of the USA as you know it. - 1 y
@loveslongnails Look, I know the dangers that we face with a Donald Trump term…. I was a Trump supporter and saw the disaster before, I’m turning the page thank you.
Second, he said he would use the Alien & Sedition Acts of 1798 which led to imprisoning over 100,000-200,000 American Citizens in Japanese Internment Camps…. He talks about ‘Enemy From Within’ and threatens those that disagree with him / don’t plan on voting for him which is anti-American. Even suggesting to replace Pentagon officials, DOJ officials, etc. with Yes Men!
Everything is on the line this election, VOTE! - 1 y
Exactly. Don't just "vote"... VOTE BLUE if you want to recognize America in 2 years.

@loveslongnails I agree. Didn’t think I had to type that since it seemed like I leaned away from the MAGA Party…. I’m hopeful just like 2020 that the majority of Americans want a world where Trump isn’t President and we get along with our neighbors / can see each other at the Thanksgiving table without yelling & slurs & conspiracy theories like JFK Jr. will rise from the grave and run with Trump for President….

I do not believe it. He was planning to lose and tell all the same lies as in 2020. Here's the http://stopthesteal.org website from 2016, registered by Roger Stone who was convicted of obstructing justice and the Mueller investigation in to Trump before Trump corruptly pardoned him.

Right now we're in an economic struggle all the currencies have inflated a ton over the last 20 years if you look at the value compared to gold most have lost over 90% of their value since not being tied to gold anymore. But we don't notice that because goods have become cheaper and other currencies are also inflated so it's not as noticeable. The U. S. is struggling but other countries also have their own problems economically. I don't expect any drastic changes in the next 6 years. I think the world will continue to sink slowly into a swamp that's the feeling I'm getting. At some point I do think there will be big consequences, a crisis and a shift in global politics but I don't think we're there yet.
I think there need to be big political changes if we want to have a global economy that's more sustainable and not run on debt and inflation but I don't know if that's possible or when it'll happen.

1 yDepends who wins the Presidency and Congress. If it's Thrumper & the GOP, the USA will become a fascist state and turn into Gilead, without a doubt, in six years. When Kamala wins, it will stave that off, but she'll have to appoint more sensible justices to the SCOTUS or get Thomas, Alito & the others who have abused their position out.
If the red states want to form their own country, I say let them. They are a drag on the economy, they are the least educated, least healthy, highest in infant and maternal mortality, highest in spousal and child abuse. Take your tax sucking selves and go let women needing health care bleed out in your own country.

Well, if the fascists win, no state will be safe, eventually. Not much consolation, I know. There's always Canada. Look up places where a lot of ex-pats go. There are some good countries to live in.
12K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Trump wins, first anarchy and then stability in Vance's first Administration.
Trump loses, the divorce of ideologies is under way. Some states and some regional or metropolitan principalities. Georgia will go red except greater Atlanta, for example. Pennsylvania except Philly.00 Reply

1 yI don't know about 6 years, but the Bible predicts God will destroy the USA with a Meteor in the year 2065, which is 2555 years after the Book of Daniel was written.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yHopefully in 6 years, Trump and all this Trump derangement syndrome will be a thing of the past and we'll be able to finally heal the divide and get things in government done, without viciously attacking each other for differing opinions.

I too hope for the end of this nightmare. It will take a lot of time & dialogue to strengthen & repair all that MAGA has destroyed.
Opinion Owner1 y@DrPepper12 Not only do we have 4 more years of Trump and MAGA, things are only going to get worse before they get better.
