How should we celebrate the new year?

We’ve run out of places to book for New Year’s Eve and we can’t afford it, anyway. Should my friend and I have a home made antipasto platter in the park, instead?

All that really matters is you are with people you want to be with. The location is less important. House parties can be more fun than big event with a bunch of strangers. Your park idea sounds excellent if that is what you both want.
