It appears to have come to light that president-elect Trump is actually a convicted sex offender, has publically made deeply misogynistic remarks involving women’s genitalia, is a convicted fraudster, is an admitted tax evader who has short changed the American people for personal gain and reportedly hoarded sensitive material from the United States government. Given these facts, should president-elect Donald J Trump immediately withdraw before assuming office?
He shouldn't have been a candidate to start. Then he shouldn't be reelected and yes he should resign but we all know he will never do it.

True. and his record as president last time culminated in Jan 6 where he sent his supporters to attack the Capitol, threaten those legally inside, support those threatening to hang the Vice President, and terrorize other legally elected officials. Also he was found guilty of rape against a woman, and guilty of many other offenses. And already he is appointing those least qualified to cabinet posts. He has only two requirements for those people. One, they must support him no matter what he does and no matter how illegal. And two, they must ignore the requirements of their jobs and only do what he tells them to.

I used to cringe when people would bring up Trump's claim of a "rigged" election but after the Nov. 6th results, I'm honestly not cringing anymore! Over a five-month span, former President Donald Trump was charged in four criminal cases. Together, the indictments accused him of wide-ranging criminal conduct before, during and after his presidency. On May 30, 2024, Trump became the first U. S. president to become a convicted felon. He was found guilty of falsifying business records in the Stormy Daniels case. He paid hush money but lied about what the expenses were for. He was found guilty on 24 counts and since it was a New York case, only the governor of New York can pardon him.
Jack Smith’s Jan. 6 investigation followed the work of the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Attack, which voted in December 2022 to refer Trump (along with lawyer John Eastman) to the Justice Department for prosecution. On Aug. 1, 2023, the grand jury approved an indictment against Trump, charging him with an extraordinary conspiracy that threatened to disenfranchise millions of Americans. Trump fought that based on laws that former presidents are immune from criminal charges related to their conduct as president.
The US supreme Court (made up largely of Trump selected justices) found that there was some validity to Trump's issues and sent the case back down to the previous court for further paring down of charges or dismissal and that is where it stands now.
Trump has been charged with four crimes in the federal election case. Two relate to the disruption of Congress’ certification of the electoral vote on Jan. 6. One alleges a scheme to defraud the United States through a sustained effort to impede the collection, counting and certification of votes in the 2020 election. And the fourth charge accuses Trump of a conspiracy to deprive citizens of a right secured under federal law — specifically, the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted.

More than 1,265 defendants have been charged in nearly all 50 states and the District of Columbia. (This includes those charged in both District and Superior Court).
Approximately 718 individuals have pleaded guilty to a variety of federal charges, many of whom faced or will face incarceration at sentencing.
Approximately 213 have pleaded guilty to felonies. Another 505 have pleaded guilty to misdemeanors.
A total of 89 of those who have pleaded guilty to felonies have pleaded to federal charges of assaulting law enforcement officers. Approximately 41 additional defendants have pleaded guilty to feloniously obstructing, impeding, or interfering with a law enforcement officer during a civil disorder. Of these 130 defendants, 116 have now been sentenced to prison terms of up to 151 months.
Four of those who have pleaded guilty to felonies have pleaded guilty to the federal charge of seditious conspiracy.
Approximately 749 federal defendants have had their cases adjudicated and received sentences for their criminal activity on Jan. 6. Approximately 467 have been sentenced to periods of incarceration.
