Why would I do that? I live in Florida, USA. Florida already has no state income tax and is currently conducting a study to determine if the state can remove all property tax and move to a consumption tax to fund the state government and infrastructure. The USA under Trump is considering removal of the federal income tax and moving to fund the government by trade tariffs. The USA has the world’s strongest military, most heavily armed populous, and is top ranked for natural resources, industrial base, energy, manpower, and technology. It is a country that is separated from much of the world by vast oceans. In a conventional war we have a significant advantage. In a nuclear war, there are many pockets of the USA that are not direct targets or in the line of projected fallout. I currently live in one of those pockets on farmland with an off grid electrical and water system and crops growing on my land. I believe in the core ideas of the United States of America and would definitely stand my ground to defend my country. There is no better place to be, than the USA. We also have a track record of coming out on top in world wars. Leaving would be a fool’s errand.

I'd go home to my family - which would lead me going to a country without a national military, we'd probably get used by the US again - depending on which side they're at just as we did during WW2 & the cold war and due to being part of NATO.

This doesn't sound right. If WW3 starts then like all major wars of the past century it will be started for profit, and politicians will be there to maximize profit.

Additionally, nobody needs to hit cities, they're already easily controlled by a supply chain disruption. It's those off grid who have to be killed to reach the goals of modern wars.
