The united States doesn't have a police force. Pretending we do is just misdirecting accountability for their actions from the thousands of local governments that actually hire, trade, manage, and command the officers.

A lot of people actually believe that and try to make the political case that their local leaders are not responsible for poor hiring, training, and enforcement practice by claiming there is some kind of "national" problem beyond their control. like "institutional racism".

It is that nonsense that is the reason their community have bad police, the only institutions involved in said police are local institutions they control. So if they are hiring jerks or discriminating its because THEY failed to deal with it.

i don't want to watch a man get beaten to death to make your point. i already agree with you. all a police officer has to say is that they feared for their life and they were coming at me. and they can kill without any repercussions.

I disagree with socialised justice and policing. I'd rather have private police like we have here in the UK.

If we had anything like that here in the US, it would become instantly corrupt. Our entire economic and legal systems run on corruption.

Some cops are great, others not so much - like anything else. Where I live we are fortunate to have very professional, well-trained, polite cops. I like them.
