We may have teleportation in the next decades if quantum mechanics continues its steady advancements, the problem with that is, that is that it will never work with living organisms. So no startrek/stargate.

I think last year or this year the theory behind one kind of FTL drive was made highly likely and real by the measured gravity waves. The problem with that was, that you need the the energy and potential energy (or mass) of nearly half our solar system at the same time. So if we can't find a way to make it use less of everything it will never be in the realm of possibility even though the theory might already be done. That part is only for starting the FTL drive not even for propulsion which it would still use in addition. Maybe we find other ways that are not a warp drives though.

Alien live forms are probably tied to either FTL or one of the dark universe theories.(if they exist at all) I dont want to meet them at this point. Not because that they might be evil, that part is irrelevant, but the implications of why we haven't met them yet. Dark forrest, great filter, or we are just the first.

Well I am pretty fascinated on the origin of life on earth. The solar system is 4.5 billion years, so is the earth but we had cyano bacterium making large mud balls in Western Australia 3.5 to 3.7 billion years ago. Pretty damn quick.

It seems to be quite explicable except for cell walls.

Sadly we might only have 1.5 billion years to work this out cause plate tectonics stop then - well before the sun engulfs us.

Is our universe just a spec of matter amongst infinite other universes, research at CERN suggests this may be true.
