Well... It does make me hopeful, but what I'm really counting for is a conservative D-Day in Europe now that the USA has been liberated and there is much hope for Canada to follow suit. The Polish and Hungarian people are putting a fierce resistance. I think the Czechs and Slovaks are in, as well. It even seems that the Germans have taken up arms, given the AfD score in the latest EU parliamentary elections (which is admittedly worrying for me as a Polish man, but I guess at least for the time being, the Polish conservative movement and AfD are allies, if only out of convenience). However, given the pressure from the past Demorat-ruled USA, it does seem unlikely for this not really well-organized resistance to liberate Konzentrationslager Europa on its own.
off topic but brilliant username.
@virtualwasp Thank You! I wished for it to be a kind of declaration of my intentions. I guess it worked!
God damned slow is all I can say. He should have been taken behind the tool shed and hit in the head with a hammer months ago.
The beauty of the Westminster system is a dud PM can be got rid of very quickly. For some reason UK and Canada have put processes in place that slows down sacking a PM. Retrograde.
For US people, Prime Ministers don't have terms. They only last for as long as they and the party they lead is popular. Unpopular = a sacking.
The current Australian Ambassador to US was a highly unpopular PM who only managed a bit over 2 years before he (Kevin Rudd the Dud) was sacked by his own party.
Prime Ministers are not permitted to stuff up and survive. That's the way it should work. Canadians must be rueing it is no longer a quick party room knifing to get rid of a dud PM.
Curious his real reasons. Wonder of trump threatened with something. He thinks he'll take over the world, next.

"Heartbreaking"? You're being sarcastic, right?
He is a rat deserting a sinking ship.
Great. Starmer is next. 2025 looks good.
