I've always been inquisitive I wanted to learn. School was my favorite thing when I was a little kid. I was so happy and excited to learn something new.
I thought if I understood as much as I could about the world it would help me in some way but it's not possible. No ant can understand the whole colony. And I think it's the same with humans. We think we can inform ourselves and we have ideas and opinions but it's not really worth anything. Each person only has a limited area where their opinion and advice is actualy useful. Even the leaders or people in power, they don't know what they're doing half the time. They're just a reflection of the current mood of the population if the mood changes they'll be gone easily. They don't have any grand wisdom that will save people.
So I will stop thinking as much and try and do useful things within my limitations.
Have a nice day :)

Ahhhh, perspectives:
Whatever knowledge amount they can stack, relative to the universe, the more knowledgeable person on earth has the thought process of an ant on a goat.
Grand wisdom that will save people? People didn't request for being saved. However, from the eyes of a wannabe savior, people seem to be in need to be saved. That's just his perspective 😏
In my case, knowledge about the world, about people, and the tools to analyse this crazy jazz made my life a better one, a more meaningful one.
we did create the concept of centre... just so we could say that we're the center of the universe
Fortunately, any 5 bucks children book about space can shatter this myth
unfortunately... any 5 minute video on YouTube will rebuild it all, magically
haha, not so fast !
No, I think that ideas assimilated early in life would be stronger, provided that they form a consistent enough system of thought. So, later on, they should act as a nice force field. If a YT video could make its way so easily to one's mind, I'd say it's only because there is a preexisting flaw to exploit
nowadays it is YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Long Etcétera... just like force fields, our ideas need to be reinforced, which is something NOT done through most of our early education years
and that, is the flaw... that's where, when and why... stoopiditey takes over...
such a flaw to exploit, lol...
It depends on where we look. Where I look at, I see schools doing their (complicated) jobs, I see parents (tediously) building such force fields for their kids. I see also a lot of clever youngsters, nowadays. So I'm still confident, based on the perception I have of my surroundings
well, I am a tutor... so yes
I am actually a re-builder of such force fields
Oh
In that case
which, funny enough... does take me back to the premise...
just like ants in a row... like a chain can all fail, if one piece is missing
most if not all of these kids are missing pieces of the puzzle that education can be, most parents and teachers do not dedicate the time to find such missing pieces, so that's what I do... I find them and retrieve to pieces, put them back in place and they're good to go... more on their own too
That's an abstract way to see it, now I wonder about the practice?

Well said. Even in my field that I’m good at, I strive for more… Yeah it doesn’t matter. No one is going to see me as a leader of the colony or grand master though I don’t care because sharing one piece of wisdom, knowledge, helpful insight, food for thought, advice, etc. that helps just one person want to improve & build a better day then I did what I set out to do.
*Though I would like to say I’m not an ant lmao
Ants are more organized than humans/
