What is your opinion on the impact of social and cultural movements on the perception of clothing and the body in today's society?

I for one thing we are in a really stupid spot currently. Things like men being allowed to show boobs in public but not women which brings up insane situations where you can censor a topless woman by photoshopping in male nipples. I mean that is just ridiculous.

I also find it very silly that we limit clothing based on gender. Things like women used to not be allowed to wear pants which I bring up because it is equally stupid as men are not really allowed to wear skirts.

It almost feels like we are trying to slowly patch the problems out of a mountain of problems and it is going to take forever and the conflict between the good patches and insane traditions is going to make us feel stupid the whole way.

I'll use the example of thong bikinis. I think social norms changed about them. Not that long ago I they were considered very risque. Now it seems they are widely accepted. I think the same thing happened with the bikini itself 60 or so years ago.
