They're too stupid to actually see what is going on right in front of their eyes. For example in the past month feed prices have dropped 10% due to Trump taking office and this is just the beginning. Feed costs make up 50% of egg production operating expenses. It takes 6 months for a chick to get to production age and yield on those savings. So egg prices are already going down.

The funny thing is that there is no bird flu epidemic. There is a PCR testing epidemic. Biden's regulations sent the FDA around to harass poultry farmers and PCR assays their flocks. They did this until they forced positive results and could cull farmer's flocks. This lead to a 3% reduction in national flock size in the last year alone. Biden was purposely destroying the poultry industry to create a supply shock in meat and egg market and to destablaize American food security. PCR tests are oversensitive and prone to contamination in field testing. PCR is great for amplifying DNA or RNA in a sterile laboratory setting when you are for example trying to generate material to genetically modify bacteria, but it's not the most reliable method to test for disease in the field. Marty Makary who was chosen by Trump to lead FDA understands this. He actually was very outspoken about PCR testing during the COVID pandemic. So obviously he will put an end to Biden's plans to damage the poultry industry and flock sizes will gradually recover. Trump and Makary will remove those regulations and chicken and egg supply should begin to grow in the near future and with lower feed prices and higher supply, prices will drop as Biden's damage is undone.

By the way, Trump openly promoted the experimental mRNA vaccines and PCR testing. So me disagreeing with him back then and still today is not in agreement with his public stance. @MikeRJ There are plenty of papers on both sides of the argument on Pubmed if you take the time to run a search. You can choose to believe whatever you want, but as a scientist you should ask some very basic questions. 1) Being that RT-PCR is testing for the presence of genetic material (RNA), how can you determine if that RNA is coming from a live virus that is a treat to a flock, an inactivated virus, or from naked RNA? The reality is that you can’t. If you get a single stand of RNA, convert it to cDNA, and amplify it with enough cycles you will get a positive reading. So for example if a CDC worker was vaccinated for Avian Influenza to protect them in the line of duty and vaccine shedding occurs while they are sampling there can be contamination of sample swabs with inactivated virus which will return a false positive. The same would go for Avian Influenza vaccines that are being trialed on cattle herds across the country when it comes to open air and free range flocks that could come in contact with vaccinated animals. Another possibility would be detection of residual RNA from virus that has been inactivated by disinfectants. You also have the possibility of detecting the vaccine itself in poultry where they vaccinate for avian influenza for example in Mexico just across the border.

2) You have to examine the testing protocol. Being that PCR is highly sensitive, when swabbing multiple birds in an uncontrolled environment such as a chicken house, cross contamination of samples is a very real concern. You are trying to determine if an entire flock is infected but genetic material between samples can easily be exchanged and through off diagnostic accuracy. A chicken house is not a laminar flow hood. You can start there and that’s not even going into the different subtypes of avian influenza that can be missed and the overall false positives and negatives associated with the test under controlled conditions. You can very easily convince yourself there there is a large amount of viral RNA if amplified with enough cycles from a swap of a deactivated virus that was sprayed with disinfectants and then cull a million birds when there was no need to do that.

Common vernacular that the average population would be familiar with would be "live virus", "attenuated virus", and "deactivated virus" when dealing with something they are familiar with (i. e. vaccines) which I was clearly referencing. So anyway, are you interested in the issues that PRC causes in detecting illness in a poultry flock, or you just want to play defense and post biology definitions you plagiarized from other websites because you can't address the issues? The reality is that PRC is good for amplifying genetic material in an exponential way over many cycle to get a testable sample concentration or used as base material for other experimentation. It doesn't tell you anything about the health of the flock or the source of the genetic material. For all you know the increase in avian influenza vaccination in Mexican flocks across the border has increased human exposure in the migrant work force that commonly illegally cross the border to work in American agriculture and they may be shedding it onto our flocks. So how you want to play it? Think about the ideas and find better solutions, or play word games by cut and pasting...

It's up to your interpretation, and that's not a good way to conduct science when the goal is to determine the state of disease in a population. We can never know if we picked up that piece of RNA from a dead bird that was virulent and actively spreading it or from a chemically inactivates enveloped virus shed by a vaccinated person that can't fuse with a cell membrane if it were to reach the flock or if it comes from naked RNA that has leaked from it's envelop recently after disinfectants were sprayed and is in the process of degrading. Imagine if we did that with people and culled entire neighborhoods or cities to prevent spread of disease because we picked up one stand of RNA on a PCR test? I guess we got kind of close during COVID-19 under Biden. He was mandating PCR testing for COVID-19 and then quarantining people when they might of just picked up the vaccine on the screening. If people would have let the madness go on, maybe he would be rounding us up and putting us in death camps next. It's a dangerous way to approach public health. I'm sure large factory farms don't care all that much being that they are being paid for their chickens either way. If they make it to market they get paid and if the government kills all their chickens they get subsidized through tax payer funds and get paid, but at the end of the day we don't know if we are stopping disease or not.
