She has to play a character now that is searching and spreading conspiracy theories because probably now one else would listen to her. She has to do that to satisfy her audience because those kind of news is what keeps her audience listen to her as her reputation is too destroyed to get a job elsewhere.

Same reason why she's hellbent on blaming the Jews for everything to the point of being antisemitic.. Candace is pretty smart, and a very good speaker.. She knows how to do research if she wants to. So, I guess she's using that part of her that her audience trust to rope them in with "juicy" conspiracy theories.. I use to at least appreciate Candace Owens, but now I don't respect her much..

I think I have watched some of her stuff on Kamala Harris. which was quite detailed. As to why - her target market probably is interested. Seeing she has children it is a bit unlikely she is transgender.
