Teddy Roosevelt would just be an inferior, more hawkish Trump in best-case scenario. He'd be a fair choice if the only other options were Republican establishment goons, and there wasn't an attractive likelihood of going to war, but that's also assuming that he wouldn't immediately join their ilk in this day and age... Which is very likely. People like to forget that Roosevelt was basically the original warhawk.

Lincoln would perform very poorly. He excelled at a time when the US largely didn't have to worry about global affairs aside from trade with about half a dozen countries, and when the role of the president has largely shifted into foreign policy and dealmaking, he'd be up sh*t creek. If the world wars had never happened, the administrative state didn't exist, and the US was borderline isolationist, then Lincoln would be a fine choice.
