Thanks to Elon's DOGE, they discovered that crooked FEMA spent billions of dollars on housing illegals in hotels, all why telling the North Carolinians they're out of money. I agree with Trump, the FEMA organization needs to be dismantled and in the case of an emergency the money will just be allocated to the state that needs it. It will no longer be managed by a bunch of idiots in the federal government.
Yes, get rid of them. Trump wants to give money to the state to use during emergencies. I think a small group should be available at the federal level that has experience and maybe national contracts for the states to use (optionally) if the pricing isn’t a ripoff like our country has now due to corruption.

It's too bad that FEMA was taken down this road. It was founded with the best of intentions. It either has to be completely purged or else it needs to be taken apart.
FEMA needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the foundation up as at the moment it is a politically biased organisation with skewed priorities as can be seen by its placing Illegal Immigrants above the American People and favouring one political party over another.
And if/when it is rebuilt it will need to have a independent body overseeing what it is doing so that it can never again be biased as it is now and it is totally focused on providing aid to the American People alone, irrespective of their political affiliation, unlike the scenes witnessed in Florida and North Carolina.
FEMA should be eliminated for a couple of simple reasons.
1) It's not the job of the government to rebuilt people's houses and businesses. It's their job to rebuild federal buildings and infrastructure.
2) The federal government doesn't have the authority to create something like FEMA. They were not explicitly given that authority, therefore they can't do it.
FEMA Ahas fund allocated for different things. They asked Congress for more funds in regards for disaster relief before the hurricanes hit. It was denied. MAGA representatives from the states hit hard by the hurricanes were among those who voted against giving them disaster relief funding. So the inability of FEMA to help those in NC can be thanks to their elected leaders.

No I want them to help people in need. People in a disaster like a wildfire and hurricane are humans who have had their life messed up badly. We all need to show some kindness to each other

FEMA can't give disaster relief $ to illegals, do they didn't. The makeup of FEMA means they have funds allocated for different things. They can't move them around. They run out of $ for something, they need to ask for more for that thing. Thry did before the hurricanes hit to help disaster relief after the hurricanes hit. MAGA representatives from FL, GA, SC, and NC voted against it. The peoples elected representatives decided that they didn't want adequate disaster relief, and they got what thry voted for. So, essentially the people chose the relief they got, because they chose the people who vored to ensure FEMA could not supply it.

There was funding for them to aid migrants. I don't know why. However, that's not important. It was there for that purpose. They also had money for disaster relief, yet we have to realize that hurricanes are far from the only disasters in the U. S. in a given year. Most really only hit halfway through the year, starting around August. So, depending on whatever other disasters hit other states it's not unimaginable that their federal funding may get a little thin when hurricane season hits. While you can argue that they shouldn't have had funding for migrants, they do not have the power to allocate their funding where they want. All the MAGA representative on the east coast should have known what damage hurricanes can cause and that no $ means no help. To vote to not help your people and actually harm them to protest something else, is the epitome of partisan idiocy. Similar to how they claim to be for border security, but the bipartisan bill that Biden gave them was rejected, not because it wasn't what they wanted, but because not securing the border while Biden was president gave Trump more ammunition to claim that only he could secure the border.
I'm beginning to think that idiots like Maxine Waters are Furious about DOGE because they know that sooner or later they will be exposed for their corruption.
