3 reasons...

1.) Tesla veehickles are a poor economic value even with artificial government price supports, aka corporate welfare in the form of tax credits. The product is too expensive and doesn't last long / is not reliable. In addition, they take hours to charge and electric rates in urban markets don;t compete well with $3 gasoline.

2.) The Tesla repair and replacement parts business model is horrible for consumers. very sparse availability of repair centers, no aftermarket for parts, and ridiculous repair prices, especially for batteries. And Tesla does not stand behind their warranty.

3.) The egotistical asshole who owns Tesla, Elon Musk, painted a target on his back when he publicly rejoiced in destroying the US government and economy. That didn't sit well with Tesla owners or potential customers looking to drop $75K - $100K on their next car.

Tesla is done as a brand. But thank you Elon. I appreciate the opportunity to short the Tesla stock.
