If somebody just replies with insults to your comment like

“You are racist”

“You are bigoted.”

”You suck.”

That probably just means they don’t have a valid argument to refute what you originally said.

If that’s your first interaction, it’s probably true. If they attempted to engage in a mindful discourse and you retorted with ignorance and hate, then maybe they just decided you weren’t open minded enough to waste their time on further. I’ve posted plenty of empirical evidence for people to educate themselves with, here and everywhere else. When they make it perfectly clear that they didn’t even read or watch what i shared, let alone cogitate on its content, i’m not going to argue with them. Then it’s a waste of my time and energy. Still, they continue to post willfully ignorant nonsense and deliberate misinformation. So i clown them. Ignorant people are insufferable if they’re not funny. So i make fun of them.
It’s also important to realize that this is social media. There are people here actually trying to learn things about the world, other people and themselves. Just letting willfully ignorant jack*sses post lies and half-truths is wildly unethical. If admin isn’t going to do something about it, we absolutely should. Complacency is no better than the wickedness it abides.

Completely true, and it's mostly far left Democrats who do this. Instead of debating your argument, they default to name calling because they have no counter arguments. Believe someone should get a position based on merit instead of of race? Your a racist. Believe trans woman should have their own league instead of competing in women's sports? Your a bigot.

Absolutely true. We see this constantly from the MAGA-heads on this site. They ask a "question" that starts with some ridiculous premise, then when asked for support of their claim, they respond with "I'm not going to do research for you" followed by absurd ad hominem attacks.
