I do know that as long as the in-war stamp happens any sitting president gets a lot more authority. So I rather assume that is the goal.

In a sane country, Trump and a number of government officials would have already been impeached or removed and arrested and charged for their law-breaking.

Nothing new. Iran has been attacking US bases fot years. Iran has conducted more than 180 attacks against U. S. forces in the Middle East between October 17, 2023, and November 19, 2024, resulting in more than 180 wounded and three killed U. S. service members.

Iran is 2-3 times bigger than Afghanistan, it has 2-3 times the population of Ukraine which has fairly successfully told Russia to go * itself despite them being on their border. What do you want Trump to do, Nuke them?

In an isolated conflit between USA and Iran, there is no doubt who wins. Although the cost is unknown.

In a conflict between Iran and close allies vs USA, there is already some question. Although it still goes to the US, the country would be a lucky to maintain any semblance of normal.

In a conflict between the US and Islam, which this conflict threatens to be, USA stands little chance.

All of that doesn't really matter though. Do we really want hundreds of millions of people to die for basically nothing?

@Effably The wealthy leadership doesn't care if people die as long as they have enough peons to pick their crops and so their dirty work. The US has a long and dirty history of not caring for people who aren't white and rich.
