What is one thing you dislike about law enforcement?

Police Brutality, Power Struggles, Intimidation Tactics, and Bad Cops.

I want more funds of police to be relocated towards their training.
Specifically trained to patrol their local communities, go to small businesses, talk to kids, meet everyone they look over sworn to protect which will ease tensions and bring down violence as a New Jersey city’s crime actually decreased once implemented.

I want police to understand the mentally ill and those with a disability or disorder and treat them in humane, soft, and compassionate ways knowing they won’t do harm. I saw cases where they held down an Autistic man till he died… Like, not cool and we need to fix the stigma with education /learning of proper procedure.

Instead of turning our police force into a military force whenever a school shooting, mall shooting, or nightclub shooting takes place or gang violence… We work on getting guns off our streets, implement good background checks also if you are on the National No Fly List or have a criminal record, you shouldn’t be able to get your hands on an AR style rifle. We restricted how people get onto a plane after 9/11 which saved lives from possible terrorist threats overseas, so why can’t we prepare from domestic terrorist threats? It can be done without taking away 2nd Amendment Rights.

Police officers do a Hell of a lot for the people they serve and they deserve more credit and respect where it is due, doesn’t mean it is flawless. We should be open to changing their methods, advancing their resources, and assisting them with sensible gun laws that prevent a stressful War scene out of a school or mall.

@Kelley1 and it can get worst... because a person can also be jailed and then going to prison with absolutely no evidence other than claim of police saying they hear "very credible testimony" from a witness that you did commit a crime and "someone saw you doing it"

and when you try to appeal the unfair sentence... the DA can just bury your case for six years straight before anyone else from the Federal courts can even check anything on it

That they are law enforcement and no longer peace officers, and that they have no obligation to protect individuals.

The couple times I "ran afoul" of the law (I didn't, really, they just thought I did) the worst part was trying to convince them it wasn't me.
One thing I don't like about SOME of them is that you can't trust them! Most of them, you CAN trust but, as with any group or profession, there's always gonna be a couple bad apples in the basket! They were at my house early one morning to arrest my brother and they came up to the third for to check his room (next to mine) for guns. They made me go downstairs and wait `til they were done. When they left, I went back up to my room to see what, if anything, they searched through and discovered that one of the cops (the Sgt.!!) stole a brand new deck of cards I just bought a couple weeks before and he took the cards and threw the empty box across the room, like it was a garbage dump!!
A while later, they came back to search for something else, I have no idea what, and they went through a ton of my stuff and left it a HUGE mess!!!

Loaded question number one law enforcement is full of politics and drama even if many of the people are good it’s easy to get sucked into. Also some of the personalities of people who are wanting to be cops just frankly suck. Not all of them I must say there are plenty of good cops. But the bad apples give all cops a bad name and truth be told most cops can’t stand working with them.

The control freaks. People who sleep with married people. People who want power. People who are back stabbers. You know…

Also the paperwork sucks. Seeing horrific death scenes, sexual abuse cases, cases involving children, things like that. Other disturbing things. Seeing that dark side of humanity

In the US, Qualified Immunity. Even if a police officer does n=something totally illegal, they cannot be sued for it, because of qualified immunity... which, by the way, some states are starting to pass laws limiting qualified immunity.

That too many people fail to recognise they have authority that means you SHOULD comply with their requests and that only once things are done and dusted do you seek compensation for wrongful treatment.
Too many iPhone lawyers thinking they should fcuk around people going about their jobs. Shut up and let them do what they're gonna do, complain and seek compensation for their wrongdoings.

that they waste a lot of effort on petty shit that they only do cause it brings them money not cause it helps people. like parking tickets or speeding tickets for minor offenses. it's not technically wrong that they do it. i just think they should focus their ressources more on things that benefit society as a whole.
