I didn't agree with all of his policies, and I loathed his appointed of Eric Holder. He did some sneaky behind the scenes shit that he should be smacked for. That said, he:

a) Pulled the USA out of the economic disaster left to him by Bush, and that was NO small feat - it was Herculian
b) He is intelligent and articulate
c) He actually "gave a shit" about people's everyday struggles and helped pass laws that showed it
d) He was respected, even admired, by foreign countries leaders
e) He didn't use the Office of the Presidency to enrich himself *

* Maga-dolts often say "Obama's net worth was $10 million when he took office, and $73 million when he left office. Explain that!" Easy... he got a $60 million book deal for his memoirs before he finished his term. That means over the course of 8 years, his personal wealth increased by 3 million dollars. Compare that to the grifter you have in office now.

Obama was the last really good President the USA has had. That will be the case for a long time unless somehow, Pete Buttigieg was to get elected. The GOP/ P-2025 are scum who care nothing about the citizens of the USA. Their goal is simply money and control.

He was a true American statesman who showed the world what America could be like. OF course some of his policies around support for certain middle eastern theocracies and militarism in general could have been better. BUT he is better than what has replaced him by a mile.

Yes, even though I didn't agree with everything he did, he seemed approachable and, most important, thoughtful. By that I don't mean considerate but thinking about how to approach problems and about the possible consequences of different actions. Something that can't be said for our last two presidents.
