It won't recover while Trump is president. Crossing the border as an international tourist has become a nightmare. There have been many incidents of tourists being held overnight or refusal of entry because they won't let border agents go through their phone and social media. There is also a new $250 visa integrity fee many would-be travelers have to pay. Many countries have issued travel advisories against US travel.

Well property prices will lower to levels citizens can afford maybe. People in Mexico, Spain and Italy are protesting tourism because it drives up property prices, rent and property taxes. Its a real plague. My grandparents recently got forced out of the home they bought 40 years ago in the city they lived all their life because though they owned their own home the property taxes meant they could afford to pay and the city evicted them and sold it to get their money. Their house has been bulldozed and turned into condos.
