I recently had one give me some stupid line about how the pro-Trans agenda wasn't infringing on women's rights. And how he thought less of me as a lawyer for thinking that way.

All you have to do is look at Title 9. And even if you don't believe what the law says about itself, the Dems expressly stated their intention to eliminate women's legal protections.

It's such a strange point to even debate.

@GetJinxed I think that because we’ve seen it happen many times. Women being denied access to scholarships and collegiate opportunities on the basis of athletic performance. Women’s rights to privacy are compromised by allowing Transwomen into women’s private facilities. Women were denied their rights in the uniformed services when Rachel Levine, a transwoman was declared the first female 4 star admiral.

Women get denied opportunities and safety because of this stuff.

Except they aren't... making space for trans women to also succeed doesn't mean we are suppressing our ability to succeed. If trans women are the better student, they deserve the spot. As for athletics, I think that's more nuanced. If a trans woman transitioned after going through male puberty, then I agree it's an unfair advantage. However, not all trans women ever go through male puberty. Some have puberty blockers to delay puberty until they are legally able to begin HRT when they come of legal age, wherein they go through female puberty and develop the same as any cis woman would. In that case, there is no physical advantage related to biological sex. As far as locker rooms, I think it's a non issue. A trans woman being in there is no more dangerous than a lesbian being in there. I think the main gripe is the issue of what's between their legs, and I can understand why some people may feel uncomfortable with that. So, the way I see it is, if they don't have a penis, there should be no problem, as this is the core of the discomfort.

Not according to the Williams Institute. Trans people are 4 times more likely to be assaulted than everyone else. If anything, the risk is the other way around. I challenge you to show me a single source that substantiate your claim that trans women are more likely to assault women than lesbians.
