You know the type of leftists (probably are people who are not leftists who do it too) who tries to get you to get something wrong or to say something anti-right, and if you answer they’ll keep fishing for you to say something they can use against you or to get you to say something anti-right And when you tell them "You are getting boring, I’m done responding here." They’ll claim " It's an admission you have nothing." Despite you answered you don’t know the answer to their last question. Wut.

You want to know WHY this sometimes happens? It's because only a short time ago, when you had a discussion with the opposing party, both sides agreed on the FACTS and the discussion was about "what do you want to DO about them"

Not so anymore, and this is by design and yes sir, it started with your Republican party although anyone can be guilty of it. Now, it's the playbook. For example, how many times in the past 10 years has Trump been recorded on video saying something, a specific thing, on a given subject, only to have his sycophants explain it away as being out of context, or denying he said it at all. Yes, they've denied things were said while you're sitting there watching the damn video.

This translates into everything and anything. You bet $10 with your Repub colleague on Dodgers vs the Nationals baseball game and go to collect:
Dem: "The Dodgers won the game last night, 4-3"
Repub: "It was played under protest, so it's not decided"
Dem: "MLB announced earlier today the protest was denied. The Dodgers win, 4 - 3.
Repub: " I haven't heard that yet. I can't confirm that"
Dem: - holds up phone with yesterday's scores and announcement on the Yahoo app.. " Here it is, here's the release from MLB and the final score. Look it up on your phone"
Repub: "Let me see that. Ok, it's Yahoo. They're a left-wing source and unreliable. I don't accept that as fact. I actually heard different.
Dem: "Will you just check your phone? Use your own source"
Repub: " Are you doubting my integrity? Is something a fact simply because you say it is?"

As this crap became the norm over the years, I even gave up on bringing facts to the table because they would negate them from the start. Eventually I just said "go look it up yourself", and eventually that became "I'm not wasting time talking to you".
