id have to see better evidence of that. in nyc might be, but I think can still do ok with 140k. $9k clear a month...$3k for rent food $2k, transport in city...

Not if you live in Decatur, IL, or Enid, OK, especially if you're single. You'd be making two and a half to three times the median household incomes there.

Family of four , that is probably about right today.
