Ford panther platform Crown Vic and lincoln and mercury versions. Chrysler 300. Americans have stopped making real cars. Some BMWs and Mercedes are good. Then it's Bentley and Rolls. I hate SUVs and Crossovers. I miss minivans. Maybe it's my age.
the Crown Vic was indeed a classic. My mother had an old Ford Taurus. When she got too old to drive I let my kids drive it. They had that car for years and my youngest drove it when he was in college. i never had many problems with it and I knew a guy that used to get it to pass the emissions test. It was well over 20 years old when we retired it.
It was the first mass-produced and is the most-produced American car with 15 million units sold. It's the one car that turned the United States, especially its middle-class citizens, into a nation of individual car drivers. I'm not sure what could be more American than that?
