With Maduro out of the picture, how long do you think before Americans will be able to safely experience the wonders of Venezuela?

Give it a year. I suspect a fairly peaceful transition, but maybe guerilla war if US troops come in. wouldn't want another vietnam.

Venezuela has to be tired of being in a mess, they were very well off before Maduro (because of oil prices) and it's a fresh restart. Many of them know that. So if they can roll with the change, which suspect most of them well, it will be a "win" for all.

The impact globally though cannot be measured. there is no such thing as security for any other country... you "toe the line" or else. That's not good security. As Yoda might say " rule of law... was, rule by iron fist begins... hummmm...".

Well Trump said the U. S. is going to rule in the interim. We don't have a very good record as of late with nation building. But to be fair Venezuela isn't the 💩hole Iraq and Afghanistan was/is. And Venzuelan is largely Catholic. Which means there's a much greater chance they'll be willing to build thier country back up rather than tear it all down settling century old scores.

There's already thousands of tourists trapped there because of Trump.

All that's going to happen is instead of the countries wealth flowing into Maduros pockets it's going to flow into Trumps.

It'll be a while. We don't know who / what will fill the void. The things that kept tourists away are mostly still in place. It's very deeply entrenched and won't be easy to dislodge - maybe impossible.

Probably not safe for Americans and a lot of those places until things cool down which might take about a year
