As a tourist or permanent? Probably a tourist or business trip if you're asking.

Plan out how you're going to eat. For my cousins it's always the single thing that makes them feel like they didn't have enough time here. They also always buy underwear which I guess is cheaper here than Ireland.

definitely shoot a gun if you can. Just try not to get ripped off because some places charge an arm and a leg.

I don't know where you're going but if you end up in a tourist area and need to buy stuff, take a 15 minute detour to the local area everything will drop in cost by probably about 60%

And if you're coming for the world cup or whatever we're having here in Jersey soon. Stay at a hotel far away from there. They're all hooker motels. Go to an extended stay. They have little kitchens. If the bed is more important to you, you might actually want to reconsider the motel as those beds in this area tend to be a little more firm for some reason.

Oh and use an over abundance of caution driving here. The police are total assholes. Especially if you're not from the area. And a lot of them will act nice like they're your friend so they can make you say something stupid and give you a bigger ticket.

Oh one more thing lol. Enterprise rental is pretty disorganized so if you rent a car through them they're probably not going to have it for one reason or another when you get there. I usually buy the cheapest one and somehow the only car available will be a luxery car and instead of paying the full price they might ask you to just buy the insurance or something and now you've went from a little Nissan to a bmw coupe 😂

My USA tutorial for foreigners is basically to tell them not to come here. The US has become a violent crazy place full of bigots and monsters like ice and there's absolutely nothing here that is worth risking your life over.
