Did you know gum is made from rubber?

Apparently it's common for them to use a form of rubber and plastic as their base and then they add flavors and stuff, for flavor and to make it stretchy and stuff, I know before they were made of tree sap, it seems they change to rubber 🙃

Modern Gum uses synthetic polymers, one being polyvinyl acetate, and this is also used in glue and paint manufacturer.

It's not made OF rubber, it's made WITH rubber. And, yes, I've known it since at least the `70's.

Hopefully we don't swallow the gum, but probably the flavors and coloring shouldn't also be swallowed, they could be full of manufactured synthetic chemicals that can cause hyperactivity, and behaviour issues etc. lol.

The rubber tree (Ficus elastica) is special for its historical use as the original source of natural rubber
