Do you want to be famous?

I believe there’s a pervasive belief more or less everybody aims to be famous, but that’s not the case for me. I would enjoy the beauty/glam and the money, but they can keep the living under a magnifying glass. You always have to be on point - one mistake stays on the Internet forever, and so on and so forth

I don't think I'd be happy as a famous person as it would quickly become exhausting to have to have every mistake I make become the highlight of my existence, over and over, cause negative coverage makes money

Also, people would likely be fond of the ides of who I am, not who I am on a personal level. Leading to issues of being rejected probably not changing all that much.

The thrill of being admired and having my work appreciated wouldn't last, i suspect, especially when the more critical people come and publicly scold every mistake I make. I'd get sick of having to defend myself, too.

So if someone offered to make me famous, while the temptation of the likely vast wealth which comes with fame may make the decision a doubtful one, I think that money would only fund self destructive habits meant to try to slow down the fast paced life of that

F*** no! I've never wanted that. I mean maybe when I was in high school. But not anytime in my adult life. It just attracts leeches and hangers-ons. It makes you a bigger target. And I value my privacy. I don't even necessarily want to be rich, just comfortable. And I worked my a** off in my 20's, 30's and 40's to ensure that. My nest egg doubled over the last 5 years. But inflation rose 8% in 2022. And even though I've got triple what the avg. person retires with now, to me it's still not enough. It always feels like a moving goalpost. Now I question whether I'll ever feel like I have enough to retire.

Absolutely not. I enjoy wealth but fame is a prison. I want to be able to cruise through life completely under other people's radar. I don't need other people to idolize me as much as I need my freedom to go where I want, when I want, and do whatever I want.

Nah, I used to want that, but you don't want everybody or many people knowing your name.. I'm a pretty private dude.. It's one of the reasons I didn't want to be an actor.. You gotta put yourself out there and stay on social media these days..

Nah once you go famous there's no going back, I like to learn from mistakes of others, I see many regret it, it must not be as fun as the media makes it seem
