1. They realize that those of us who have guns will not tolerate an oppressive government for long. They plan to be an oppressive government. Look at their behavior during the Biden administration.

2. They are OK with Iran having nuclear weapons because they somehow think that they will not be killed along with the rest of us. Not all democrats oppose gun rights, it's mostly those on the fringe far left who want to take away everyone's guns, most Democrats want's sensible gun laws that keeps guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them like those who are mentally unfit. As for Iran, opposing the conflict ins't about being OK with Iran getting nukes, it's about not being the worlds police and not wanting a repeat of Iraq where we went to war over non existent weapons of mass destruction.

Depends on the state, some states have good sensible gun laws, some don't, they either don't go far enough or they go too far which is what the fringe far left supports. Many democrats like myself who are closer to the moderate portion of the political spectrum are perfectly fine with mots gun laws.
