I remember hearing recently NASA got public backlash for picking 4 men for the upcoming 2027 Artemis III mission.
The reason they got public backlash is because there was no women.

In 2026 though NASA's Artemis II mission there was one woman.

Does it really matter there is no woman for the 2027 mission?

If you want to talk about diversity they did pick one black man for the 2027 mission. The other three are light skinned men.

It's a call to action. Apathy is heat death of our society. 99.99..% of us will never be astronauts but want to root for someone like themselves. And just like ourselves could be someone scared of taking that step to push themselves into the stars.

These everyday people have a lot of love and passion without a release. So they are throwing it out into the universe a call to action. It is a call to the void but someone could answer it.

No one is expecting nasa to put people in a position they can't handle after challenger. At the same time company's and work places endlessly harass you for survey questions what you want to see and the public consciousness is more in touch then buissness but you do have to yell into the void. Its also very embarrassing doing so.

Equality isn't about dividing jobs equally, it's about ensuring everyone has a fair chance and are dismissed at the first stage because of someone's bias.

Woman would have been eliminated during selection but so would lots of men.
