even cheryl’s own mother doesn’t seem to know much about her own family. why are there secrets? i think something happened in that family like cheating

She doesn't have the whitest of fair skins and nor does her mother. Skin color is poly genic in the several genes influences it.

There are stories of Black Scots or Black Irish due to Spanish Armada being ship wrecked on those shores. Black in this case being a Mediterranean olive skin. Turns out this is not true and it is due to genes within those populations. Cheryl is too dark for this.

So yeah I think there has a case of a presumed father not being a natural father and somebody's wife has cheated

Not particularly. There are some olive skinned Brits too. Like Catherine Zeta Jones who plays Zorro’s love interest. In that movie she plays a Mexican/Spanish woman and she looks like it, she has very dark hair and Mediterranean features but she’s 100% Welsh and I think she even talked about how she took a DNA test and it said 99-100% Welsh too.
