1 mowhat fascinates me about myself is how my brain can remember a random embarrassing thing I did 8 years ago in perfect detail, but somehow forget why I walked into the kitchen 10 seconds ago. I can overthink a text for 30 minutes, but make a life-changing decision in five seconds. Honestly, I’m still trying to understand me too.

The fact that even at my age, I tend to think very much like I did many years ago, but at the same time I have also changed my views on many things; I'm more open minded than I was. My memory is sharp enough to learn a totally new language. I am more at peace with myself now, than I was 5 years ago and way before that.

1 moI am constantly reminded that i need to shut down my sense of smell. Which i can. But if i don't then i can smell if the person across the room sat in a new car today. ㅤ
and i mean actual chemical smell using the nose, nothing psychic.

1 moNot much. As far as I can tell I'm Joe Average. Nothing particularly noteworthy. A spectator in the audience.
"The Garden Of Allah"
It was pretty big year for fashion
A lousy year for rock and roll
The people gave their blessing to crimes of passion
It was a dark, dark night of the collective soul
And I was somewhere out on riverside by the El Royale Hotel
When a stranger appeared in a cloud of smoke
I thought I knew him all too well
He said now that I have your attention
I got something I wanna say
You may not wanna hear it, I'm gonna tell it to you anyway
You know I've always like you boy
Cause you were not afraid of me
Things are gonna get mighty rough here in gomorrah-by-the-seaHe said it's just like home
It's so damn hot I can't stand it
My fine seersucker suit is all soaking wet
And the hills are burning
And the wind is raging
And the clock strikes midnight in the garden of Allah
In the garden of AllahNice car
Ah, I love those Bavarians
So meticulous
Y'know I remember when things were a lot more fun around here
When good was good and evil was evil
Before things got so fuzzy
I was once a golden boy like you
And I was summoned to the halls of power in the heavenly courts
And I dined with the deities who looked upon me with favor,
For my talents, my creativity
And we sat beneath the palms
In the warm afternoons and drank the wine
With Fitzgerald and Huxley
And they pawned the biting phrase from the tongues hot with blood
And drained their pins of bitter ink
Vainly reaching for the bottle full of empty Edens
Branded especially for the ones who had come with great expectations
To the perfumed halls of Allah, for their time in the sunAnd we were stokin' the fires and oilin' up the machinery
Until the gods found out we had ideas of our own
And war was coming and the earth was shaking
And there was no more ruin in the garden of AllahToday I made an appearance downtown
I am an expert witness because I say I am
And I said gentlemen, and I use that world loosely
I will testify for you, I'm a gun for hire, I'm a saint, I'm a liar
Because there are no facts, there is no truth
Just data to be manipulated
I can get you any result you like
What's it worth to you?
Because there is no wrong, there is no right
And I sleep very well at night
No shame, no solution, no remorse, no retribution
Just people selling t-shirts
Just opportunity to participate in the pathetic little circus
And winning, winning, winningIt was pretty big year for predators
The marketplace was on a roll
And the land of opportunity
Spawned a whole new breed of men without souls
This year notoriety got all confused with fame
And the devil is downhearted babe, cause
There's nothing left for him to claimHe said it's just like home
It's so low-down I can't stand it
I guess my work around here has all been doneAnd the fruit is rotten, the serpent's eyes shine
As he wraps around the vine,
In the garden of Allah10 Reply
1 moThe way my mind works in general. I've always been introspective by nature and always trying to find the optimal way to use my strengths and learn my weaknesses, what to focus on and what to ignore. I've come to terms that I think I'm above average intelligence and athletic ability, and I have average looks, but have nothing to show for it yet. I also think (and this might be arrogant) that I'm kinder than most. I feel like most people don't go out of their way to help others like I do, although I will say this varies by the region. I notice that people tend to be much nicer in rural areas than in the suburbs where I live. I'll add that I tend to see things that most people don't care for. I care about the fine details of things as much as the big picture. And while I tend to see the big picture, I get consumed going into the fine details of things and basically lose my mind trying to get all the details or perfecting something if I care about it.
Obviously there's so much more. We're all much more than we can describe.10 Reply477 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. That I can still smile after all the hell I went through pretty much my entire life , ever since I was a kid , some how some way I do not let negativity effect me to much , I tend to look at the positives over the negatives as much as possible , even though it seems there is a lot more negative than positives in my life. When people hear my backstory , they are shocked that I am still a happy go lucky guy that enjoys laughing and having a good time I am also considered a very charismatic person , which I been told numerous times from people. So even though negativity sucks , so it fascinates me that I don’t dwell on it too much. I rather enjoy life than hate life , but trust me there are times I hate life and think to myself why the hell am I here, but somehow someone way I snap out of that mindset and become happy again. I sometimes think I experienced so much shit , that nothing really phases me anymore because I witnessed and experienced a shit ton of it. All I ever wanted was to experience was true love with someone , and for whatever reason , I haven’t yet , I thought my ex wife and I would make it until the end , but after 20 some years of being together , she changed her mind and chose to be selfish instead now that the kids’ are
Older , I felt used and taken for granted and betrayed , So now at 48 years old and entering back into the dating world has been a nex experience for me , all I can say is times have changed and I feel lost in this dating world by how selfish people have become. Hoping I can find a girl that really wants what I want. True love, without love , I feel there is no other purpose of living in my opinion. As of now my kids’ are the best love I ever experienced, but I hope I can find a girl that wants love and loyalty as well.00 Reply- 830 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
1 moSomehow I continue to be resilient. Life has been full of adversities.
There’s been some fun along the way too, but I’d prefer the balance between the good and hard times not be quite as skewed lol.
But we’re getting there…

1 moHonestly uh... I can only think of mostly negative stuff but for the sake of not making my reply too depressing I'd say the very few good things about me are my open-mindedness and my non-judgmentalness and even that's not always there lol.
