Most of the times that I've personally witnessed this it is because of the different way women and men think. The men want to calm down before they get anything settled, however women *can't* calm down until they've figured out what the problem and at least a temporary solution is. Many times a woman isn't purposefully trying to goad him, but trying to find out why he's angry to start with and/or come to a resolution.

It's OK and I asked this because I was irritated by my girlfriend at the time. She was having a good ole time pissing me off before. I do actually see this a lot though. I have always wondered why it brings such joy and excitement to a woman to push and push just to see what happens. It seems like juggling with lit fireworks would be just as fun.

We had an argument over nothing. I am not sure I even remember. It was insignificant and I do know I was in a foul mood and asked her 2 or 3 times to kindly leave me be. I date women that are inherently difficult and obtuse. It is my hidden talent.

This is my ex girlfriend in a nutshell, she knew exactly what buttons to push, and would jsut keep on pushing, more and more until I was absolutely IRATE. I have never laid my hands on her, but I have said some absolutely horrific things to her. Needless to say, we are no longer together, I am a better person and she hasn't changed one bit.

That was the same situation with mine to be honest, but that's because her last boyfriend was very abusive, verbally and physically, and though she hated him, she actually liked it when I degraded her when she truly pissed me off (even though she didn't act like she liked it) but then when everything was said and done, AWESOME sex. Happened to me this past weekend. Not one to be provoked into anger by someone I cared about. Teased them with some texts afterward saying I'm sorry, and sure enough, she was just defending herself.
