‘Fear and paranoia.’ Grandson says Andrew Lester bought into conspiracies, disinformation

A grandson of the man charged with shooting a Black teen in Kansas City’s Northland last week said he was “appalled” and “disgusted” at his grandfather’s actions and is thankful Ralph Yarl is recovering.

“I was horrified. I thought it was terrible,” Klint Ludwig said of his immediate reaction to hearing about the shooting of the 16-year-old. “It was inexcusable. It was wrong.

“I stand with Ralph, and really want his family to achieve justice for what happened to them. Their child or grandchild or nephew’s life was fundamentally changed forever, over a mistake and someone being scared and fearful.”

Andrew D. Lester, 84, shot Yarl twice — including once in the head — when Yarl accidentally went to the wrong house on Thursday night while trying to pick up his younger brothers. Lester, a white man who police say shot Yarl after the teen rang Lester’s doorbell, was charged Monday with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He surrendered to authorities on Tuesday, was released on $200,000 bond and pleaded not guilty Wednesday during his first court appearance.

In other words, is it ever okay to restrict democracy, such as when it makes the world a better place?

Liberals in the United States are constantly saying that we should be more like Europe. Well when it comes to abortion laws, in most of the countries in Europe, the choice cutoff is between 12 weeks and 20 weeks. In Australia and Japan, the choice cutoff is 22 weeks, 6 days (basically 23 weeks). In all of these mentioned locations, there are the obvious exceptions baked into the law (rape, incest, mother's health, fetus viability, medical emergency, etcetera) if an abortion is medically and/or legally needed beyond the legal deadlines.

Since Dobbs Versus Jackson overturned Roe Verses Wade, I propose that the House and Senate pass a national law allowing each state to set their own abortion choice laws similar to most of Europe, Australia, and Japan, between 12 weeks and 23 weeks. This way, we avoid having states like Texas that are trying to completely eliminate abortions, and also avoid having states like New Jersey and Oregon where abortions are possible into the 39th week of pregnancy. No states would be less than 12 weeks, and no states would be more than 23 weeks (except in cases of rape, incest, mother's health, fetus viability, medical emergency, etcetera). Abortion medication would remain available and legal in all 50 states, up to each state's specified choice deadline.

For full transparency and disclosure, I'm personally morally pro-life, legally pro-choice, and anti-late-term (3rd trimester) abortion. Basically I would hope that life is chosen in most normal and reasonable circumstances, but fully understand the need for everyone's legal right to choose one or the other, up to a reasonable point. In normal and reasonable circumstances, no normal reasonable logical person needs more than 23 weeks to make a decision.

I believe that this is a fair and reasonable resolution to the reproduction rights debate in the United States. What do all of you think and believe? Vote and post your opinions below!

When you hear a Democrat say gun control that translates to gun confiscation. Look for them to try a national gun registry , This will allow for easier gun confiscation. We already have gun control laws in place , so you now know what "Gun Control " means. Also would you register all your guns or risk time in prison?

Good thing the baby didn't have this on or Biden would have had baby shot.

They probably could have argued a lower settlement but that would mean Rupert Murdoch, Hannity etc would have to face perjury. Doesn’t that dampen their truth telling?

Today, the United States has more income and wealth inequality than almost any major country on Earth, and it is worse now than at any time since the 1920s.

At a time when millions of Americans are working two or three jobs to feed their families, the three wealthiest people in this country own more wealth than the bottom half of the American people.

Over the last 30 years, the top 1 percent has seen a $21 trillion increase in its wealth, while the bottom half of American society has actually lost $900 billion in wealth. In other words, there has been a massive transfer of wealth from those who have too little to those who have too much. For the sake of our democracy and working families all over America who are struggling economically, that has got to change.

In order to reduce the outrageous level of inequality that exists in America today and to rebuild the disappearing middle class, the time has come for the United States to establish an annual tax on the extreme wealth of the top 0.1 percent of U. S. households.

This wealth tax would only apply to net worth of over $32 million and would raise an estimated $4.35 trillion over the next decade. Anyone who has a net worth of less than $32 million would not see their taxes go up at all under this plan.

Granted, every country has their own fair share of broken family court systems but of all the countries, America has the absolute most corrupt one of them all. A woman can easily file for divorce for no-fault, take away half of the man's hard-earned money and properties, take away custody of the kids from the man regardless if she's even a remotely decent fit parent or not, and the list goes on.

You can't even save your own assets or give it to your own immediate family member or else murrica's family court system will label it "asset-hiding" or whatever bullshit laws the family court system in America has.

I've learn to accept that society doesn't give 2 fucks about men in general. They only give a shit about men when men can either make them money or provide them something they need, and even then, men get absolutely no appreciation or respect for doing things for people.

I have yet to find a woman who very sincerely cares about men's mental health problems and doesn't use men's deep personal secrets against them as weapons.
