I'm a woman and I would hope more women care what happens with the economy more than anything else. Inflation is a bitch right now and the job market is not getting any better. Not saying pro choice or pro life aren't important topics to tackle but not as important as getting our economy in order.

I wish more men shared my view. Stop having sex. No sex = no babies. No babies = no abortions. It’s possibly because I’m still virgin by choice. Unfortunately that’s easily used against me in many ways.

You have a valid point. If men are so concerned about a woman’s reproductive freedom, then they should refrain from sex. Put your principles ahead of your own selfish pleasure. It really is that simple. They want to control through force of government rather than personal responsibility. I’m not sure I could personally follow through with an abortion but I don’t want to see the freedom stripped away from anyone. Forcing women to have children in situations where the child is unwanted or there isn’t adequate financial or emotional support doesn’t help the child. Sometimes it’s more humane to abort while the fetus isn’t self aware and spare the hardship.

The only instance I can think of is if the man wanted sole custody of the child. I think he should have it. I mean they had to be in love with each other in order to have sex to begin with. If she doesn’t love him enough to have the kid for him so he can care for it without her if that’s not something she wants than I say he should and she should do it for him out of love for him. The fact that I don’t know of any women who would do that for their partner makes me believe that love doesn’t exist

There is adoption of course but it’s also not necessary to force morality on someone when no one’s rights are being infringed on. It’s a pretty arrogant position to take. It would be different if members of society were being victimized in some way but a fetus isn’t even self aware or have constitutional rights. Abortion should be up to the individual. If you think it’s moral, feel free to make that choice. If you don’t, then keep your baby. That’s the very essence of freedom isn’t it?

It’s not your body to have a decision over. I do sympathize to a degree because it’s tough to not have a role in a life changing decision but giving another person authority over your body reduces you to property status.

That’s a shitty mindset to have. Because once you’ve agreed to sex it’s not just your egg that’s involved in the creation of a child it’s also the man’s sperm. Just because it’s inside of the woman doesn’t mean his sperm suddenly becomes her dna. Her body isn’t being used as property it’s incubating something that is half his and half hers.

Sorry but that’s not correct. There is no legal right to a fetus. It’s not personal property. A fetus is living tissue but it is solely dependent on the mother’s body to survive, so it’s her decision whether or not to carry to term. You don’t have authority over other humans for your own moral reasons.
