A lot of the ones I've met in my life are like that. As an example they get paid a lot more for the same jobs but younger people still get blamed, bullied, targeted for things. They're also very harsh on young people, but easy going on themselves.
They also grew up in a time when house prices were a lot cheaper, and you didn't have to work as many hours. Yet they still call young people lazy etc, and they expect young people to listen to them.
They also have left the country in huge debt due to favorable tax policies and depleting natural resources.
Maybe it's just me, but that's how i view a lot of them.

Well, paid more for the same current job, today, I am actually perfectly fine with. Having worked a long time they should be compensated for experience - I hope to be too.
Historically of course they had it easier. House prices, rent, education, food, it was all a lot cheaper and salaries were a lot higher - when adjusting for purchasing power. I am admittedly jealous of it but will settle for boomers simply realizing they had it really good and that people no longer have it that good or easy.
As for them complaining people are lazy? Every older generation does. Every older generation has been wrong so far. People are far more productive today than they used to be and not just where technology enabled it ut in every area. However I don't blame boomers for their view. Its a recurring narrative. Just like the 'people do not want to work anymore' comes around every 5-10 years too. The same thing was said about boomers back in the day.
Aaand lastly, politics and debt. Sure. As a group I would blame them for not being responsible and for beong careless. But its not like any individual person you meet is likely to have had any real chance to influence it. Just like you or me didn't have a real say during Trump/Biden for example. So I do not really feel it fair to blame people, but hope we can take their collective mistake and ourselves get riled up enough to care about the present.
Good points, but politicians just cater for their voter base, they're just puppets for the people. And they both mostly target older people ( especially Trump) and if you look at American politics over the last 30/ 40 years. Most the policies have been short sighted policies that benefit the boomer population.
They have always supported low taxes, anti environmental policies, stupid wars, increasing the debt.
None of these things benefit future generations at all.
