Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, has been reported to have referred to service members as "suckers" and "losers." These comments were first reported by The Atlantic in 2020, citing multiple anonymous sources who said that Trump had made disparaging remarks about military service and those who had died in combat.

Specifically, the article alleges that in 2018, Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris, France, where American soldiers who died in World War I are buried. According to the article, Trump reportedly said that the cemetery was "filled with losers" and that the 1,800 Marines who died in the Battle of Belleau Wood were "suckers" for getting killed.

Trump has denied making these comments, but several news organizations, including CNN and The New York Times, have corroborated The Atlantic's reporting.

Due to the stigma and full on assault of transpeople lately, a number of people just can't seem to help themselves but harass, or bully them. people just feel more and more emboldened now to treat them as less than human beings.

Here's some stats for you. Trans people are often mistreated, harassed, even physically assaulted. And not to mention a number of them end up committing suicide thanks to all these issues piling up on them mainly. I'm not asking you to agree with who they want to be but can you at the very least agree that they should never be harassed for what they are going through?

Adams lashes out at national Republicans for casting city as crime-ridden

Mayor Eric Adams on Wednesday voiced irritation with former President Donald Trump's renewed presence in the city for various legal proceedings and national Republicans' depiction of Manhattan as dangerous place that disregards victims' rights.

“We thought that we were in a good place because he was in Florida and, you know, he didn't tie up our city,” Adams said at an unrelated press conference Wednesday, when asked about preparing for another Trump visit. “Now, he's going to be back here often.”

Trump is scheduled to return to New York later this week to give a deposition in state Attorney General Tish James' business fraud lawsuit against him and his real estate firm.

The historic indictment of the former president by the Manhattan district attorney brought hundreds of protesters last week to the Manhattan criminal courthouse.

Meanwhile Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, a darling of progressive Democrats for his criminal justice reform policies, has drawn the ire of House Republicans, who say the top prosecutor should focus on violent offenders instead of Trump's alleged involvement in a hush money scheme. They plan to hold a so-called "field hearing" in New York City next week on violent crime.

Adams criticized House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) for his hearing’s singular focus on New York City when “crime in congressional Republican areas per capita is through the roof." He faulted southern states for the “proliferation of guns” flowing to major cities.

I'm not saying there wasn't hatred 15 years ago, but I can't help but feel like there's substantially more today. But I also can't fully tell whether it's just because I was silly kid who didn't know any better, or if these things actually are growing in quantity.

Lately we have seen rioters attacking people physically for their beliefs, or destroying cities (BLM riots), or committing acts of terrorism (Tennessee shooting)..

The way I see it, if your idea, your view, your beliefs are so fragile that to get people to "believe" you you must commit acts of violence, kill people, or just in general cause people harm.. So fragile that your beliefs can't stand up to debate and conversation, your beliefs are unworthy of talking about.

Bragg sues Jim Jordan over ‘campaign to intimidate and attack’

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) sued House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) Tuesday, calling his investigation into Bragg’s prosecution of former President Trump a “transparent campaign to intimidate and attack” his office’s work.

The suit, filed in federal court in New York, is the most aggressive pushback yet from Bragg in response to Jordan, who in recent days subpoenaed a former prosecutor who worked on the Trump investigation and last week asked another employee to turn over personal emails about his hiring process.

“Congress has no power to supervise state criminal prosecutions. Nor does Congress have the power to serve subpoenas ‘for the personal aggrandizement of the investigators or to punish those investigated,’” Bragg’s office writes in the suit, pointing to a case initiated by Trump that ultimately limited Congress’s subpoena power.

Bragg has also resisted efforts from Jordan to secure his testimony, arguing in prior letters that Jordan’s requests would violate the rights of those involved in the process, including Trump himself.

“The charges the District Attorney filed against Mr. Trump were approved by citizens of New York,” the suit states.

“Rather than allowing the criminal process to proceed in the ordinary course, Chairman Jordan and the Committee are participating in a campaign of intimidation, retaliation, and obstruction.”

The suit earned a swift response from U. S. District Court Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil, who declined to immediately block Jordan’s subpoena but gave the committee just short of a week to respond in court.

Jordan started his own review of Bragg’s investigation just days after Trump predicted he would be arrested in connection with the probe and called on his supporters to protest.
