I'm not a fan, but i have been a few times... Some of the things you need to be aware/do before getting to bowling is to make some streches/gymnastics/warm up before getting in there...
As the next day, the leg that you'll lean on (the upper thigh) will hurt like crap...
Arm will hurt too... the secret of that ( for me) is to use 3 fingers (as the ball has only 3 holes) as Rock style... If you use the Thumb, pointing, and middle finger, that WILL hurt next day and arm too, so i start using like this ( 🤟 )
The ball will run smoothly and likely to score better... and the Lower you get to the floor (bending your knee) the smoother the shot, otherwise ur ball could end up bouncing to the side and skid off, and not Marking any points. Good Luck and have fun.
I am, used to play regularly. But very few centres actually want regular players, they target casual players. The number of leagues has plummeted even before the Covid lockdowns.
Tips. You'll never play like the pros on you local centre. It'll never spin as they do it. So don't even try. Just concentrate on learning how to throw it straight. Try to pick an arrow, hit it consistently and aiming for hitting the front pin half ball.
im a casual bowler who can throw decent hooks, my score isn't too great but i did get a 152 yesterday. My problem wasn't with the strikes, i had a healthy amount of those, my problem is those pesky spares. Especially since i use their house balls and those balls throw like a strike ball.
