He hit the nail on the head. Also science is showing that even after years of hormone therapy the basic biological differences between men and women still have a considerable gap. For example men on average are able to generate 160% more punching power then women. A man that transitioned several years ago and has been on estrogen would only lose 10% to 15% of their punching power. So there would still be a considerable gap between a biological male after transitioning and a biological woman.

Things like that are the reason why gender has always factored into sports. It is also why a male vs female MMA and boxing matched tend to end very badly for the women in the fight. It's also why the man who transitioned to female are also able to brutalize the women they fight.
