Do you think Derrek Carr can run the entire Saints offensive package?

Michael Thomas first reaction to the news of the signing of this 4 years contract was "Thank you, Jesus!"

The Saints defense was not the problem last year. The problem was Thomas was injured more often than not, and even worse, we had no quarterback above a D+ level quarterback. I'd say Carr is at least a B+ Quarterback, so this should be a massive improvement over last year's offense.

If the QB cannot run empty set, shotgun, and pistol formations, they shouldn't be on the Saint's roster.

Last season, they couldn't possess the football, so of course the other teams were going to out score them.

Point is if s team is so dependent on one star player not being injured thats been injured b4 they aren't going anywhere.

Yes, I know that. In the past, they've been too dependent on Thomas and Kamara. Last seasons I was wondering why they didn't try some sort of T formation to make it harder to guess which back was getting the ball. Oh well, it was a busted season from the start. Jameis Winston is a backup QB and he'll never be good enough to be a starter in the NFL.

I'd also like to see both the Saints and LSU (college) sneak in some option plays from the Shotgun or Pistol formation, which would make their offense more difficult to predict.

That's called the "Veer" I think. Urban Meyer ran it in College and if you have the personnel, it opens up the passing game that much more.
