Man, I swore I would start watching EPL last season, and just socc— …I mean, “football”😜…in general, but I didn’t🤦♂️
But I DID make it through Weeks 1 & 2 (“Matchweek?” Was that what they called it? Gotta learn the lingo, haha) on YouTube and watched the 10-15 highlights of every game, to get a feel of the league and the teams, and kind of start blindly without knowing anything. I haven’t decided on a team to root for yet, I’ll let that come naturally, since I’m in the US and have no local allegiances to go on. If I was just going on jersey color, I’d go with Man City, but it feels kind of lame to pick the team that seems to be the best😂 I also kind of like Nottingham Forest just because I know the name from the old Robin Hood fable, lmao, but I just want to get to know all the players and teams first, and how the sport works beyond the basic obvious stuff, and I’ll eventually just come to like some team, I’m sure.
But I’ll make the boring pick of a noob to the game and say Man City, even though I really have no idea, haha. I was avoiding hearing this past season’s outcome, don’t know if they won again, but at this point I’ll probably just try to keep up this year from the beginning, much easier that way than trying to catch up in March, lmao. Man City had some big Scandinavian kid, Haaland, I think? He looked like a stud, from the couple games I saw.
Man City seem like the safe bet.
At best, Utd will have a few weeks where they'll be seen as contenders and will then fade away and thats coming from a Utd fan.
