Thanksgiving. How many Husbands, boyfriends & fathers will be watching the SPORTSBALL on Thanksgiving?

You men, the things you think are "great fun". Like going target shooting, a load of men standing around shooting guns! And motorcycling, a load of men on motorcycles riding up & down the road! And going to bars, a load of men drinking beer and talking nonsense! And stripclubs, a load of men in a stripclub watching some woman who never knew her father with her jiggly bits on display. And fighting, a load of men going around fighting! And so forth.

I take you point exactly , and although I love AFL football ( only AFL ) , I would hate to watch in the environment you describe , I despise guns so I'm never going to be shooting at targets or the like , all things " blokey " are pretty boring to me..

As for Thanksgiving , its not a thing here so not something I have to deal with , but no , I have never enjoyed the environment or situation you describe , dont find it even remotely joyous , also I dont drink beer which is kinda suited to this scenario.

I do organise a day for AFL Grand Final which I enjoy , huge day , it may well be 80% male , but always mixed , many women love AFL , and its very female friendly now.

Are you referring to football? I. e. U. S. football? Its gotten to be a bit much. The NFL is so cocky they never think about losing fans or what it's like to watch 5 minutes not action for every 30 minutes of viewing. Ads, timeouta, lousy sportscaster giving their unwanted n opinions accompanied by there x and no demos. At least n baseball announcers recognize then downtime and someone the local announcers are a treat in themselves though more on radio broadcasts than football. Am Michael a was a great announcer and actually added not the game. Madden and Gifford were pretty good at last until a fund half when frank was into his second bottle of Absolut.

That’s not our tradition. We also don’t own any TV so…

we like to talk and catch up. This year we have a lot of changes and things to plan with the group … so will be fun to see everyone and discuss exciting plans… such as helping my little sister move, then getting them into a new place… lots of planning.

The men in my family and friends that got together to celebrate Thanksgiving and having a wonderful dinner, would retire to the living room and watch football while the women washed the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen.
But one year we rebelled and made them clean up the kitchen and do the dishes and they did it.
Maybe women just have to ask them?

I remember last year it snowed pretty heavy and my husband and his male family relatives were out shovelling snow, defrosting cars etc. I'd rather not do that. I'd rather be in a warm kitchen any day. Let them have their sportsball, it's not like the dishes are going anywhere

I won’t. I rarely watch sports other than the Olympics and a couple of other things. I played sports when I was young and had earned 4 First Place trophies and played years without any as well. But I don’t understand why I would watch other people play, especially overpaid athletes. I don’t live vicariously through other people.

I only watch the highlights now. I did watch football for a while but all the americans I knew I kinda lost touch with them or they moved back so I don't have a group anymore to do things like this with.

Oh! Is THAT what it is! The only good thing about football is the cheerleaders and, if I edit the whole game down to just them being in shot, the whole video would only run about 2:00 so, it's not even worth it to bother. I can get better action on porn sites or YT videos of Japanese school girls!

Don't look at me, darlin'!! In the first place, I have no idea what "sportsball" is! That's why I asked! In the second place, about the ONLY sport I'm interested in is pool and I almost NEVER watch any of that!! Okay, MAYBE I'll watch a little dwarf tossing and occasionally, the Amish Rake Fights but, that's it!! I haven't watched or even turned on a t. v. in nearly 5 years!!
