It's tough to beat the old Canada vs Soviet games because we only saw Russian players every few years and didn't know anything about them so it was much easier to dislike them.

Nothing good comes from acting unprofessional on the international stage. Our exports to the US are down but overall we're up almost 5% year over year so there's nothing to be gained by lowering ourselves to Trump's level. We lost one friend but gained many more

I disagree. You have to take his threats and statement seriously. America is in an expansionist phase. Canada had water and critical minerals, oil and aortic access the USA wants. Trump has already declared economic war. To assume this is a Trump joke is very poor strategic planning. Recent poll has 30% of Canadians classifying the USA as an ENEMY. Let that sink in...
