Who shoukd get the MVP?

Last year Aaron Judge won the MVP. He was the best player by statistics. However, Cal Raleigh was a major reason Seattle made it to the playoffs. Also, why they took Toronto to Game 7 in the ALCS. So it could be argued that he was more valuable than Judge was. The Yankees didn't rely on Judge's success as much as The Mariners did on Raleigh's. So do you think it should go to the best player, or the one who had the biggest benefit to their team?

Raleigh deserved the A. L. MVP in 2025 as the first sixty-homer catcher.(Catcher is a much more important and demanding defensive position than outfield, plus Raleigh was more integral to the Mariners' success than Judge was to the Yankees'.)

He only had 147 hits and batted.247 . Judge had.331 avg, 53 Homers, 179 hits , 114 RBI's , that is triple crown numbers , a lot of years. So Raleigh only had 7 more HRs, and 11 RBI's , Judge hit 84 points higher and 32 more hits. If he had better hitters on ream , He hits more homers and 150 RBI's. Plus in playoffs Judge hit.600 . Raleigh hit.304.

@888theGreat Judge doesn't have to catch in hot weather (which rarely occurs in Seattle, but does when the Mariners play in the East and South), handle pitchers' deliveries and physches and be a field general ala an NFL quarterback or NBA point guard, all of which mitigate against a catcher's having a high batting average.

Yeah, I remember when Milona was dumping LaRussa said "I'd have him in the lineup even if his batting average was 0." An elite catcher makes the pitching staff better. A major reason The Cardinals were so dominant in the years he was our catcher have more to do with him and less to do with our pitching staff.
