First to Europe, apologies for calling it soccer but I wish to encourage American answers and avoid confusion.

The first thing I noticed about the American team was just how racially diverse it is. And this got me thinking, was this wonderfully WOKE team put together by Disney?

Then I spotted the stripped shirts bare an uncanny resemblance to prison clothes. So is the team sponsored by the prison service or are they convicts doing community service?

Is it in fact the basis of a Disney movie where harden criminals learn the error of their ways though football and communal showers?

The US men’s and women’s national teams are sponsored by Nike, not Disney or any prison service 😅 Their kits are designed for performance and marketing, not social messages about prisons.

Racial diversity comes from the player pool and the country itself. The “prison stripes” joke is just that: a joke. They’re professional athletes, not convicts doing community service.
