I have a friend who is a Cincinnati Bengals nut because when he was a child, he liked the way their uniforms looked. Now he is an adult who calls the Bengals "we" and is so excided that he says he has to "pinch himself" because the Bengals are going to the Super Bowl. He texted me, "We haven't been this good in years!" This dude ISN'T from Cincinnati. He is from Detroit. He never lived in Ohio ever in his life. Is this acceptable to you? VOTE!

OK, I know my audience is going to be small on this one because not that many GAG members are UfC fans but here goes.

My sisters, and I, practice MMA for self defense and keeping in shape purposes.

So we are watching the UFC 269 Nunes Pena fight and found it hard to believe what was happening in the 2nd round. We were like - "Nothing feels right about this!"

First, Amanda was not fighting at all like she normally does as it seemed like she almost had a reserved demeanor about her.

Second, she almost tapped immediately when Julianna put her in the rear naked choke and didn't even seem to be fighting it.

Third, when being interviewed at the end by Joe Rogan she didn't seem to be at all upset by the loss.

When you examine the betting odds, I mean it was overwhelmingly in favor of Amanda and highly against Julianna. Can you imaging the take home purse for anyone betting on Julianna to win this fight? It was enormous. No one expected Julianna to win, not even close.

OK, I am not accusing anyone of anything but when you smell a skunk, there might just be a skunk nearby.

Am I on an island all alone here?

A Los Angeles high school is apologizing after facing criticism that its football team didn't simply defeat an opponent but rather trounced the opposing squad by a score of 106-0.
Inglewood High School Principal Debbie Tate issued the statement on Monday, saying that her school's team did not conduct themselves "with sportsmanship or integrity and the final score was unacceptable."

"Our administration and coaching staff believe that athletics should be a source of pride for our community. While Friday's game did not reflect our best judgement as administrators, the Morningside High School and Inglewood High school football players, and their coaches have worked hard all season and deserve our respect," Tate said.

School district officials said they are "saddened beyond words" in regard to the game's score and will conduct an investigation.

"We will conduct a full investigation and take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that a similar outcome never happens again under an IUSD athletic program," county administrator, Erika Torres, said in a statement.

Inglewood High School's quarterback is UCLA-bound and passed for 13 touchdowns in the game. The team scored 56 points in the first quarter, and by halftime was up 83-0.

The most controversial move came when Inglewood's head coach went for a two-point conversion when the team was already up 104-0, tying Hilo High School in Hawaii for the highest-scoring high school football game in the last five years.

Fallout from the game blew up on social media where Dick Vitale agreed with Collins.
"How can the Coaching staff of INGLEWOOD HS California feel good about themselves?" the legendary sports announcer said on Twitter.

"SICKENING & a DISGRACE to the Title of COACH! Congrats on teaching good sportsmanship. U SHOULD BE FIRED!"

We are big into sports in my family, so we watch a lot and collect a lot of sports apparel.

This couple really thought that enrolling their then 16 year-old son in Taekwondo would be the solution and that in 2 month he would beat his 3 bullies. This backfired. It did nothing. One of them end up leg sweeping him and it was over so fast. None of them were impressed at all. He had to be transferred to another school. This was in 2018.

From the little I know about these combat sports, isn't martial arts really to have more discipline within yourself, control your stress and something you're enthusiastic to learn, not go with the idea of beating up bullies? The sensei (instructor) would be telling you to only use self-defense if needed, if it's necessary and then leave.

If groin shots were allowed in fighting sports, what would happen?
