My phone got hacked?

Soo, I want advice from anyone to tell me if my phone got hacked or not as sometimes things suddenly disappeared like music and photos , apps stop working even tho it's not an old phone , some photos when I delete it it came again saying that error couldn't delete
It really gets on my nerves, so what do u think guys, and if it's really hacked what should I do

I never heard of things just disappearing like that. Data may get corrupted but it never just disappears unless someone deleted it. I think you have a virus of some kind, go have it serviced

So it's more likely to be virus more than hack?

Well a virus is a hack, it can do a lot of nasty stuff it was programmed to do, like infect other devices or open up unwanted internet pages in your browser.

But if you mean complete takeover, where the hacker has full remote control over the device - that's very hard to do. You'd basically have to manually allow him remote access to the device

Disclaimer: I have never actually had to deal with smartphone malware. I am a software engineer but my area of expertise is on the PC platform. But I can give you some basic tips

1. Download antivirus and perform full scan (or boot-scan if possibile). I hear Avast has a free mobile version, try it out.
2. Check if you have system backups or system restore points. I believe some phones upload restore points to the cloud automatically. But I think most don't create restore points by default.
3. If the antivirus didn't help and you have no backups or restore points you're screwed afaik. You could pay for a security expert and he may or may not fix the issue, but it will likely cost more than a new phone. Your other option is to format the hard drive. This will delete all data including the virus and the Operating System. You will have to reinstall the OS manually. This is your nuclear option
