Reminded me of this post: But lots of other funny ones like "Bigdong69" "yourmomishere" "YesIseeyoucharlie" But craziest one that got us deboarded from a plane was some dipshit using "SamsungNote" as their mobile hotspot. This was back when they had dodgy batteries and were banned on planes.

The truth is I have never seen a really cool WiFi name. It is usually the name of a business or somebodies address. Mostly this is a bad practice. It tells the bad guys exactly where the access point is and they can sit out in their car and hack into it. I just use a random name of some random sports team.

The best WiFi name varies from person to person. However, in most cases, it's always safe to use some funny WiFi name or a name that's less related to the people in the house.

A lot of people I know are habituated to keep their surnames or something related to them as WiFi names. However, the practice brings them closer to an attacker, anyone who wants to attack the network shall be in your neighbourhood and start attacking your wireless network. It's always best to use some random name and also keep changing it on a regular basis.
