If I Looked Up Pornographic Related Content On YouTube On My School Chromebook, On Multiple Occasions, Would Admins/IT Guys Find It Randomly?

- I've been paranoid for 5 weeks now, and i have decided to ask y'all, since y'all are more experienced than i am, please help me.
Additional Details:
Looked it up at home
Was on Youtube, not on Pornhub
happened 4 times
heard they may check history when they do check ups
my school has VERY good security Chromebook-wise (no way to delete history)
Extra Questions:
If caught, what is the punishment?
Do admins or IT guys check Chromebooks randomly?
Would it be my fault or the schools for leaving it unblocked?
If my Chromebook's history was checked, say 2 years in the future, would the school go all the way back to today to check?

They definitely could find it, if for some reason they wanted to. Chances are that nobody is going to dig into the computer and check every single URL to see what it is, and a YouTube link generally isn't important unless they're looking for something specifically.

Times have definitely changed... Not that long ago school-issued computers were heavily restricted to solely the sites you needed to access for schoolwork, YouTube and certain search engines as a whole were blocked, and even a minor infraction could see you in detention. I knew a guy who got pulled from class and sent to see the vice principal in High School just for changing the resolution.

Back when I was your age at school, a boy in my class went onto a website you have described as "Pornographic" on a school laptop. The IT Technicians found out, reported it to the head of year, and yes he did get in trouble and was reprimanded. However, he wasn't expelled or suspended. It was close supervision for a week and a month ban on any kind of computer equipment within school. If you get in trouble, I wouldn't worry about it, just take the punishment and get on with it. You're a 13 year-old kid. Adolescences and young adults do make mistakes in life, just learn from it and don't do it again.

They definitely can find that you have looked it up remember the police can find someone’s search history dating back 10 years even when someone deletes all the search information police have technology to find the deleted content so it is definitely possible for an IT person to find your search history

Honestly don’t stress too much about it you aren’t gonna get into trouble I’m sure the school you go too would be very aware students would be using their computers / laptops to search such things

Note I am not recommending you watch porn.

It depends on the software installed such as real time sceen monitoring and if your using personal cellular such as a cell carrier you use not the school Wi-Fi. As well as search history.

Yes. If you get caught, then they can dreg up that info from your surf history.

Don't use school equipment to do stupid shit like that. Use your own equipment.

its more on the hentai side, but just through experimenting, it could be anywhere, from just barely viewed videos going under the radar, to fairly popular videos in the thousands, but on actual content, it definitely varies depending on what you are looking for.

I’d be surprised if anyone views YouTube content as pornographic. Yes, there are over 18 content, but even that isn’t pornography.

Without seeing the video (don’t link here) it is hard to say. IT will be able to see history, but do they take your computer and check?

Best stay off anything but schoolwork in the future.

if they checked in 2/3 years, would they go back that far? I don't think they check until we leave junior high, when they (which this is just a rumor) pick up, and reset the Chromebooks for the next batch of kids

Ok, so…my personal opinion is that they will not go and check a deep history of each student's computer.

That is a huge waste of time. More likely, they reset it without even thinking about what’s on it. That process alone has to take forever considering the number of students.

Again, best keep to schoolwork from now on.
