Depends what one means by cryptocurrencies?
Because if your talking about places becoming cashless and basically just all money been on credit cards already in progress in couple countries pretty effectively and has be theorised 1st world countries will follow that method with in hand cash becoming more less used.

If your talking Nfts and stuff that's brought to you by inefficient wastes of mass amounts of energy that overall hurts everyone and is not sustainable. For sure not.

Yes for sure…cryptocurrency is really nothing more than computer programming. If you think paper money had no value then how do you own something that is code…invisible. There is no backing for it. It fits the end times scenario…

But the future development trend is bound to go through digitalization, but some realistic traditional industries and real businesses are also important, and perhaps the future is anyone's guess
