Do you have any backup phone/smartphone...
Do you have a backup phone?
Do you have any backup phone/smartphone...
Yeah... and I'm a tech crazed person..
So I have an Android and an IOS
@ShadowMonarch Who is better in general you think? Apple or Android?
There are various factors...
Depends how a person wants to use them...
If a normal person would use it and I had to choose I would go with Apple...
It's a large topic to discuss i guess
@ShadowMonarch You should do a mytake. It will attract a lot of people and there are going to be some interesting opinions.
@random_girl95 Both cater to very different kind of markets.
Apple people are more prone to be attracted to aesthetics and they really do not care about the technical specifications. I have found.
Whereas, since Android is open-source, there can be n number of modifications and other things. Tech savvy you can say. The right value for money.
But to be honest, both are really good. My friends use Apple products, while I use android. We see the performance difference, but... we are just too invested in the particular operating systems to change now.
I myself have put real money in play store. Its really good, if you go by the rules, because you can break rules in Android, but not in Apple.
I believe what people must see is, what exactly they are comfortable with now. Not what is better than the other and how it is. That is what I think.
I agree...
@random_girl95 giving my takes is not my cup of tea.. sorry
It's just that I don't want to give opinion unless someone who needs it asks first... or else there will be less info, more conflict in the discussions...
But thanks I really appreciated your thinking
@ShadowMonarch Ok then don't be surprised if you see a mytake about this topic from me anytime in the future. I will gladly accept a more thorough analysis of your opinion.
Hmmm... I'll be sure to discuss...
Thank you
@the_shadow_dweller Yes apple is more for the aesthetic of devices than android. However, talking about smartphones, android has been developing some great phones with strong specs for a relatively good price.
@random_girl95 Competition is really tough. Especially here in India.
There were days when Xiaomi and Samsung were literally facing head on in the market. Each company was reducing the smartphone prices on alternate days. It was really spectacular.
Samsung was not messing around at that time. It was willing to reduce at any price to regain its market share of devices. And it actually did!
@the_shadow_dweller Now they are slowly getting as high as Apple devices, talking about the elite series of both of them. Like S22 series and Xiaomi 11t pro.
Actually when you take a precise comparison... Apple is the clear winner... because apple has sucked every drop of utilisation out of their chipset...
While androids can't fully make use of their chipset...
Logically thinking Apple is the clear winner in terms of specs
But Android also never ceases to amaze me by make making extraordinary devices in such low costs...
While I am tilted toward Android faction
@shadowmonarch Damn right!
I am an android lover myself.
@ShadowMonarch By the way you seem to have a very in-depth knowledge of tech stuff. Do you work in a tech field or just a very passionate user?
A random guy with a crush on tech...
The thing is I have been a tech guy since the day I used a pc...
It is passion that will become a field work...
@random_girl95 I would not purchase any Apple product even with the budget.
@random_girl95 When I first saw S22, I fell in love with it right away. The design was one of its kind! I have never been that much attracted to a flagship as I was to S22 series. Mindblowing.
@ShadowMonarch Lol I am literally a random girl with a passion for tech stuff as well. I believe security has a lot of perspectives in the tech field.
It is nice to meet you... yeah I would agree on that
I have a Trac Fone. I got it in case I misplace my phone so I can call myself.
I keep all my phones when i get a new one. So i still use em

My current device is my backup as well lol!
Same here!
It was yesterday only I broke my primary phone's front glass. There is this whole screen guard on the screen, but the way it fell down, it fell exactly on the front camera lens, severely damaging the actual glass covering the actual screen.
I cannot even use the phone now. Everything is working fine, but the fine pieces of the glass, they are the headache.
So... I just shifted on my backup one. I believe it is permanent now, since I highly doubt my dad will give money for the repairs.
Really sad, I loved that phone.
@the_shadow_dweller You mind sharing which company phone you had/have?
Samsung A50s 6gb variant. Its really strong, but everything has its Achilles heels, I believe.
Purchased in Oct 2019.
3 years it's good I believe.
3 years are more than enough. It is just that I love that phone very much. So will do anything to get it repaired. If not now then definitely sometime.
I still have a land line as well as my cell. If my cell dies I will simply go buy a new one.
Yes, and it's saved me many times.
Nope 😅
no, I do not.
Yeah lol
π The question is not meant to be funny. Cool then!
